The active holder charges your battery when it is in the holder. Connects to the vehicle's cigarette lighter socket, 12/24 Volt. The phone has got the connector for charging on the side of the device. The active holders offer a firm fit, it is easy to put the phone in the holder and then connect the charging cable to it.
